     a. Linear quantization, non-linear quantization, quantization distortion, calculation of quantization distortion, compression characteristics, advantage of compression, coding methods.

3. Digital modulations. (allowance 0/0)
     a. PCM modulation, DPCM modulation, Address coded modulation.
     b. Summary of described methods of digital modulations used in digital trasnmission systems.

4. End equipment of digital transmission systems. (allowance 0/0)
     a. Encoders - encoders by quantization steps, by bits, by code groups.

     c. Non-linear decoders.
