Integration of Digital Networks and Services

Course objective: The aim of the course is to address the students with the integration in communication networks and services. The attention is oriented on technology tendencies of telecommunication networks and their effect on services. The course provides the systematic view on protocols, interfaces, services and signalling in ISDN and ATM networks.

Concise plan: The course provides the systematic interpretation of digital communication networks principles. It introduces the evolution from individual integration phase point of view: ISDN, ATM and B-ISDN. There are services of integrated networks, protocol models, interfaces and signalings introduced.
