Private Telecommunication Networks and Services

Course objective: The aim is to provide students with knowledge of the issue of non-public telecommunications networks (TDM, IP). The emphasis is on analysis of network topologies, signaling systems, qualification interfaces, telecommunications services, including videoconferencing systems and services.

Concise plan: The subject is oriented on mastering of PABX systems, functional/technical modelling of features of telecommunication services in a public telecommunication network, techniques and features of telecommunication networks, VoIP, centralized and decentralized network systems, integration of non-public systems with networks of other purpose, convergence in non-public telecommunication networks, NGN networks and services, migration scenarios of technology transition from TDM to IP, including video-conference systems and services.
