( PMvT, 35490_3I )

Course objective: View of systems' modelling with focus on queueing systems and Markov models, which are used in telecommunications. Concise plan: Definitions and classification of stochastic processes, discrete and continuous Markov model, birth-death precesses, queueing systems, data error models, modelling of systems' reliability, elementary economic models, random generators, simulation of data error models.

Key words: process, model, Markov model, queueing system, open and closed networks, channel errors
